Does Blue Light Tooth Whitening Work

Great show in Krummesse

such a good Sunday we had a long way: blue skies, brilliant sunshine and with it a great quilt show! The Akwaete-Quilter (akwaete "means in Nigeria" who work with substance ") in Krummesse in Lübeck have again a featured exhibit with large and small quilts on the legs: one at the entrance was greeted with a community work!

And then did you not know where to look first: so many beautiful quilts! And I can show a small selection here! Again and again I'm from the "Dear Jane" - impressed quilts, what's inside because of work that can you do not measure!

could eg to add this quilt read: " it consists of 5602 individual parts that are sewn together by hand to 169 squares and 112 edge corners are starting work: 2003 "!
And that was hanging from a window, which unfortunately was not large enough so that the entire quilt on the picture could
.

Here again a detail screen with information about the quilt: it is called "My flower garden and is 2.20 x 2.45 m tall

!
And so you could go with all the beautiful quilts:
I can not show all, I have a little "summary":

And Andrea Stracke resulted from the high art of Handquiltens: she was again surrounded by many interested women, it is fascinating how small their tricks are and how fast it is!

Some of her work, she also had it! And not
unimportant were it stands:

Such were made under different The patch workshop from Malente Timmendorf, Mrs. Loeffler of thread factory from Kiel and wife Hohoff of "Needle & Thread" Lübeck with plenty to offer on-site. And there could
"woman" then yes resist not yet had one or the other material packet kidnap ....

You have to make provisions but, if the fabrics are just times ......
It was a beautiful exhibition, thanks to all the quilters Akwaete- Effort and the time they have invested in order to share the visitors to their great work!
Then my husband and I still use the nice weather for a trip to Ratzeburg have:

The Ratzeburger Dom (the sky was really blue ...)

A former House, now there is the County Museum housed .....

..... and a look at the Küchensee where we have made a really nice walk in the sun! Last Sunday we

visited the exhibition of the "Akwaete-Quilter" at Krummesse near Lübeck. They showed their quilts they made during the last years. I am very fond of the "Dear Jane Quilts", one is made made out of 5.602 pieces, everything sewn by hand!! Andrea Stracke is a famous master in handquilting, you are almost speechless about her tiny little stitches!!
Some shops offered wonderful fabrics and other things a quilter "must have".....
In the afternoon we drove to Ratzeburg where we had a little walk in the sun! On our way we passed by the Ratzeburger Dom and the museum, formerly a manor house built in 1764!

Summary

What remains of the dreams of a life of glamor and fame on the catwalks of the world if the modeling career is drawing to a close? It remains a vague yearning. For a place in life. For someone who is waiting for you. So it is with Leni, who was thrown together by their agency with Hannah and Kennedy in a shared apartment in Berlin. With jobs on
decadent parties, the three will be over water, and old photos of distant friends to rescue anchors. But is a return to her old life at all possible? And where love waits Leni?

the author:
Beate Hanika Teresa, born 1976 in Regensburg, is a photographer. From 1997 she worked as a model in various European cities. Many of her personal experiences are reflected in the novel. Today she lives with her family in a small town near Regensburg. Her first novel, "Little Red Riding Hood must cry" has won several awards.

Did I just left behind? Or have I lost myself in the many cities? Maybe it was the pictures that capture always a bit of soul on paper, and at some point is any of these things, just paper and paper and paper in hundreds of magazines, and files, and no one can return an even a piece of it. (Page 101)
Review:
"Tell me about love" by Beate Teresa Hanika impressive to almost 160 pages describing the dark side of the business model. Protagonist is Leni, who lives with her two colleagues, Hannah and Kennedy in a shared apartment in Berlin. They considered themselves the party visits, organize more or less were dubious gentlemen, over water. Beautiful appearance is required, neither more nor less. Their careers actually intended as models for the catwalks of the world famous Milan, New York or Paris is not (yet) become nothing and age already gnawing at them.

At a glamorous party in Berlin, which hosted the rich Younes, Leni reflects her life. We learn in flashbacks from some of their childhood and youth, which she spent in a small village, carry on their parents a sheep, everyone knows everyone and Leni like this Kleinbürgermief easy escape only. She takes the first opportunity offered to her and went to Berlin, where she met Hannah and Kennedy, as well want to realize their dream as a model.

learns to know the said party Leni the male model Levi. Their perpetual search for love drives her in his arms and she dreams of a life together. But Leni is able to convert this dream into reality, or is this just like their target modeling career as a soap bubble burst and it must return to their hateful old lower middle class life, where she seems to be no more room?

Beate Hanika Teresa was able to convince me with her second novel after "Little Red Riding Hood must cry" is complete. Tell your talent that goes into many parts already in pure poetry, never too cheesy or superficial being is just admirable.

Leni looks authentic, her thoughts and her emotions are real, one suffers with it, is happy and fears with her. The various flashbacks to her former life give much information about themselves and are making them even more vivid and tangible. Nor can miteinfließen Beate Teresa Hanika their own experience of the Model Rules. It will not be described the bright side, but the tough business behind it. And that's what makes this story so believable.

The introduced love affair between Leni, who is constantly in search of warmth, security and love that as a child and youth from their parents has never properly experienced, and Levi, the young Bulgarians and the rich Boytoy Younes has, hopefully, giving the novel the necessary positivity between the drab and gray moments and experiences.

"Tell me about the love for me is a true must-read. A novel that makes you think with soft words and its message reverberates long time.

to design the book: The cover of the novel, unfortunately, in no way does justice. The two models shown be superficial and cold and do not fit at all to this story.

Conclusion: "Tell me about love" involves feelings without borders: sadness, Rage, vitality, hope, and much more - and suggests that, for once think about their own lives.

Summary

Paris, 1609: The scent of wealth and power attracted many to the court. The young Charlotte de Montmorency falls into the vortex of extravagant parties, flattering friendships and dangerous intrigues. For behind the glamorous scenes of the different camps in the court fight with all means for the impact on the royal family. Charlotte quickly must recognize two things: You need allies in a world in which they apparently can not trust anyone. And a wrong decision can be deadly. But right now she is in love with the mysterious stranger who is no more than a shadow ...

to Author:
way Kathleen studied at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig, has many years working as an editor and volunteers conducted workshops for young people text. Since she first heard the tragic fate of Queen Marie Antoinette, she is interested in the Bourbon Queen, who have shaped Europe However unfortunate. Today she lives and works as a freelance writer based in Leipzig.

father would rage when he learned of it. Alarmed, I looked over the water. A feeling crept over me, as would put a shackle around my chest, which drew upon constantly. The Louvre seemed suddenly like a trap. (Page 210)
Review:
In Paris of 1609, the 15-year-old Charlotte de Montmorency meets at the Louvre, home of King Henri IV one. You should go there soon to marry the very influential Marquis de Bassompierre that is twice as old as Charlotte. Charlotte is full of anticipation of the impending reunion with her fiance because she is really in love with this man But then she surprised him one day when cheating and thus is topic number one at the court.

Charlotte is full of rage against her betrothed, the only support is her friend Sophie, a Huguenot who she met at the court. But the mysterious shadow of a man whom she sees every night at the window opposite and seems to wait for her, Charlotte can not let go. Who is behind it? And the planned marriage to De Bassompierre will take place in spite of his escapade yet?

with "Blood Red Lilies" is Kathleen, a beautiful historical novel for young people succeeded. The fact that the plot is largely based on real people and events that impact the history of Charlotte de Montmorency just a tad bit more believable. The writing style is quite simple, the plot largely predictable, but for the target group of young people aged 12 years can "Blood Red Lilies" quite meet his expectations.

Charlotte, beginning in their action and thinking very naively converts to the progress of history to a confident, independent, acting and thinking young woman. The rash is not pleasant to have clear that she catches her fiance de Bassompierre with another woman in bed. This was very unpleasant to me from the start, a vain peacock, and intent only on its own advantages, which would bring his marriage to Charlotte.

also Henri, Charlotte's brother, is not by nature different. He asks her to look beyond the deed de Bassompierre. When she refused, he turns away from her and she no longer belongs to his family. I found interesting was the figure of Angoulevent, king of the minstrels and fools of the prince de Condé. He manages to cheer up Charlotte again and I would have liked to see him in a slightly larger role. Prince of Condé is beginning a very sarcastic character, who seems to make fun of Charlotte. But shining through in some situations that he feels more for them.

is the end, "Blood Red Lilies" is a book I would recommend both young adult readers who want to try again at a historical novel. As an introduction to this genre, the book is made like that because it comes without any exaggerated Action (as you read them many times in books of this genre) from based on real characters and maintains by intrigue and machinations that give the action an additional excess of tension.

For the design of the book: The dust jacket of the book feels like a kind of wallpaper. Several vines, flowers and bird ornaments adorn the cover graphics on the lower section are highlighted in several drops of blood spot varnish look. On the inside front cover, a letter is glued, which is protected by a seal. Its content is evident from reading the book. A very nice idea!

Conclusion: "Blood Red Lilies" recommending I as an entry point into the genre of the historical novel - a story based on facts and appropriate by their writing style very easy for young readers is interested.

Other books in this series:
Wings (The Mysterious Mr. Spines # 1)

Summary
Since the day that Edward Macleod have grown wings lurk all around him hazards. Can the mysterious Mr. Edward spines help against its powerful enemy and to fulfill his destiny?

the author:
Before Jason Lethcoe the writing made it his career, he worked for 22 years as an artist and writer for various Hollywood studios including Walt Disney, Dream Works and Warner Bros. Jason Lethcoe has since seen numerous children's books written and now lives with his wife Nancy and his three children in Thousand Oaks, California.

Specter's Hollow was a horrible place. But had thought otherwise, as Edward. He had imagined that it would swarm of monsters here, and for some people might be the worst nightmare monsters. But for others it had its own weaknesses, which they feared more than the terrible monster of fantasy. (Pages 153/154)

Review:
Finally it goes on with Edward Macleod adventure! The story ties in with the end of part one. Edward, who has since settled in quite well in Woodbine is revealed that he had said the bridge builder in the prophecies. Only he has it in hand to free the world from the evil Jackal. He also learns more about his parents and also who is behind the mysterious Mr. spines hidden really.

With him, the young Bridget and guard Tabitha he makes his way to the Jackal's Castle, there are still mother, Sarah Edwards, in Woodbine as a "Blue Lady", is held captive. Edward has to save them and halt the Jackal stop, no matter what the cost ...

with "Flight" is Jason Lethcoe a wonderful sequel to "Wings" succeeded. Especially as the protagonist Edward was very well developed, he is much bolder and more confident than at the beginning. It seems that he increasingly developed feelings for Bridget, but whether this is really so, will probably only show in the final tape.

Bridget is itself an interesting character, because her real life happens not always depend on the Earth. Therefore, it is torn between her life in Woodbine and what happened to her in real life is. More I do not want to betray that would reveal too much.

Tabitha, the young guard, which makes Edward, Bridget and Mr. Spines on the way to the Jackal has, at first quite arrogant and overbearing. But when she realizes what is really in Edward and she teaches him how to deal with its wings, it develops into a true friend, that he can rely on.

I liked about that one experiences in this book about the mysterious Mr. spines. His story is tragic and it is explained clearly how he could become a fallen. I also found the site's Hollow Specter very interesting. People there , Have to go there ask their deepest and most horrible fears. A truly horrible idea!

Like Volume 1, "Flight" (unfortunately) read fairly quickly to an end. The obligatory cliffhanger is also absent here, but as far as I am informed correctly, the third and final volume of "Song" is probably already published in May 2011. I am already looking forward to a great reunion with Edward and his friends and the showdown between him and the jackal.

to design the book: The cover is, as "Wings", beautifully decorated with an illustration by Scott Altman. Then we see Edward with his friends in the boat crossing over the river ferryman Lethy with Al. The predominant color is a deep green and the text of the book's title is held in schimmrigem silver. The font, which I find very pretty, is repeated in the chapter headings. At the end of the book expects the reader to an appendix to the informative 16-page short story "The case of Melchior" (which I would have liked somewhat more detail) and a glossary with explanatory words to the individuals, places and events in the book.

Conclusion: "Flight" is a wonderful sequel to "Wings", which brings the reader to the characters a little closer. Now it is impatient wait for the showdown in "Song"!

Rating: 4 out of 5 points

Cover vs.. Cover:
left, the German cover, right on the cover the publisher Grosset & Dunlap: The illustration has been lucky for the German cover the same and the font of the book title "Flight" I like much on the German version better.

A little something from the past .....

It's amazing how some things that last for decades: from time to time I look in my "memory box", a very old one, which is still made of wood! There is not much that is still present, but that I would like today to show some time!
would be there first a children's apron my mother (geb.1917) with the matching doll apron, as it was then so common:

Everything still sewn by hand, the round inserts are crocheted! For dolls apron exists also the dress, the same had my mother, I've even put my old doll

has also been preserved in a carefully crafted Petticoat:

The baby shirt my husband has his mother nor himself all sewn, the edges were crochet or tatting lace-made provided:

you are made of very fine batiste, front monogram was used as a "J" embroidery! I am considering only whether the tip is not yet at the neck was a bit krabbelig?

The apron belonged to my mother (born 1917) and the little one belonged to her doll!
Everything made by hand! The petticoat too is very old, even made by hand! The doll is my old one but the dress is from the doll my mother had had as a little girl! There had been the same dress for her but this one no longer exists ...
The little baby-shirts were made by my husbands mother, with laces round the neck and arms and a stitched "J" in front!
