Mackie Doyle lives with his family in the small town of Gentry, which is not nearly as peaceful as it can be assumed at first. For all seven years of the creatures that live in the city in the world, kidnaps a baby and replaced with a changeling. The whole town knows about it and have come to terms with it. Mackie is also a changeling, he was replaced by the genuine Mackie as a baby and since then tried to conceal his true identity.
